Partner at Hemispheres

David Bauer has spent nearly 20 years analyzing consumer perceptions and behaviors and the resulting implications for business strategy. He feels that one of the best ways to uncover strategic insights is to share experiences with people in their natural habitats. To do this, he has spent time with people as they purchased coffee in Philadelphia convenience stores at 7:00am, shopped for software with small business owners in Paris, had beers with bar-goers in Detroit, toured a logistics facility in Switzerland, and participated in an IT network administrators conference at Disneyland. He has also conducted hundreds of focus groups, depth interviews, user experience interviews and quantitative research projects. David especially enjoys working on brand strategy, advertising and design development, communications and web strategy, and product development. His top categories are technology, retail, food and beverage, healthcare, and consumer electronics. David founded Hemispheres in 2003. Prior to Hemispheres he has worked in research and strategy at Q2 Brand Intelligence, Publicis, and TATTOO brand consulting. His career started in 1992 at Morla Design. He earned a BA in writing and marketing from Santa Clara University and was the president of the school‚Aos National English Honor Society. He is a member of the research associations QRCA and ESOMAR.
