GreenBook Research Industry Trends REPORT
Welcome to the 12th edition of the GreenBook Research Industry Trends Report
- the leading and most comprehensive survey of our industry!

We know that the market research profession is under immense pressure to deliver value and measurable business impact. We see new technologies and research concepts gaining traction and we see new models of human capital emerging.
GRIT is the vehicle that we use to quantify these trends and share the information with the research industry so that we can all adapt and thrive.
The current edition of GRIT continues to track trends that it has traditionally focused on, including the adoption of emerging technologies and methods. GRIT studies the extent and direction of the beliefs about change in the market research industry, the sentiment around those beliefs, and their implications on your business. For the first time GRIT delves specifically into how social media analytics is impacting the industry, with a particular focus on which technologies and providers are driving change.
As always, we think you’ll find the report informative, provocative, and useful. Enjoy!
Please provide your email address to view the Winter 2013 GRIT Report.
(We will invite you to participate in the next round of the GRIT study.)
We value your privacy. We will not sell, rent, or loan your email address.

[...] The GreenBook Research Industry Trends Study is now a bi-annual initiative; we conduct it in the Summer and Winter each year, with each phase focusing on different topic areas and having a unique mission, while also tracking some key metrics across both iterations. We’re finalizing the new study design right now and will be launching the survey very soon; stay tuned! We’re also looking at combining a social media analysis portion with this phase to track “buzz topics”, meaning what MR-centric topics are being discussed most frequently within the industry social sphere and how do people view those topics. We’re experimenting with the idea right now, but I think it could yield some interesting results and we’re all looking forward to getting the new study underway shortly! [...]
