ESOMAR Congress Was A Pivotal Event For MR
Tuesday, September 18, 2012, 7:23 am 23 CommentsThere were a few things that surprised me at ESOMAR Congress and that I think, when taken together, will be looked back on as pivotal moments in the future course of the market research industry. Continue reading

Game on! The Great Gamification Challenge
Friday, November 25, 2011, 15:48 pm No CommentsYeah, I know; gamification is one of those “buzz words” of 2011 that you might be over by now, but the reality is that it is a topic that could have a huge impact on the research industry in years to come, especially considering the competitors coming from outside of the space who are adopting these models as well as the growth within the wider marketing industry. I love the work that Jack and Larry do, but I am reminded once again that this is only a snapshot of a segment of the MR space and although helpful, it is incomplete. Continue reading

Two Cheers for Mobile? Maybe, Maybe Not: MRMW 2011
Saturday, July 23, 2011, 12:03 pm No CommentsI spent two days this week in suburban Atlanta at Market Research in the Mobile World 2011 (MRMW 2011), a conference as its name suggests (almost) totally focused on mobile research. It had an imposing agenda with a whopping 29 presentations all in the same room over two days. Obviously, all of this is speculative. But then everything about mobile is speculative, a combination of powerful technology and wishful thinking. That’s part of what made this conference so interesting and the main reason I was glad I went. Continue reading
