These are the Top 50 firms submitted by GRIT respondents as the most innovative in the industry. The goal of this avenue of inquiry is to glean insight on the drivers of perception around what makes a firm innovative in order to understand how MR firms are capitalizing on the idea of “innovation” to grow their businesses. We believe that this list, developed by our peers within the industry, is a true measure of how successfully these companies are leveraging this brand attribute.

In preparing for the next wave of GRIT (coming this month!) I've been going back into the data to look for interesting trends or insights that could inform the questions we want to explore in the next phase of the study. It occurred to me that a little extra analysis on the top 50 market research companies perceived to be innovative could be interesting, so below is a table that shows their total mentions, absolute rank, and the mentions broken out by Suppliers and Clients.

The first event is the Technology Driven Market Research conference next week in Chicago. This has turned into THE breakout event so far this year. With research transformation being such a hugely debated topic right now, it simply could not be more timely. Lead Up To The IIR TDMR: Interview With Dr. A.K. Pradeep of NeuroFocus

Next up in our series of interviews with presenters at the Technology Driven Market Research event is the Keynote Speaker: Dr. A.K. Pradeep, CEO of NeuroFocus. I was going to sit on this one for a bit longer, but based on the huge response to my post on the ARF NeuroStandards initiative it seemed like a good idea to go ahead and post it. We touch on the topic of the ARF program during the interview and getting a direct perspective from one of the key players in the debate strikes me as useful.

ARF re:Think 2011: The Great Neuromarketing Debate

Without a doubt one of the most buzzed about topics at the ARF re:Think 2011 (and probably in market research in general) was Neuromarketing. All of the major vendors were there: Emsense, Innerscope, NeuroFocus, & Sands Research (a special shout out to Emsense for having a great exhibit space!) and several sessions were devoted to the topic, including the much anticipated "Neurostandards" presentation - Improving Neuromarketing Measurement: Ground-Breaking Results. In case you have not been following this effort, here is the crux of the matter.

Two of my passions had an interesting intersection point recently. I’ve been a fan of Neuromarketing since last year when I met several of the senior team of NeuroFocus in Cairo while attending an all day seminar by Martin Lindstrom
